Frequently Asked Questions

We analyze your specific tasks, not just your job title. Your score is built on federal occupational data (O*NET), published AI capability research, and workforce exposure studies. Each task is weighted by how much of your time it actually takes up, so two people with the same title can get very different results. It's the most granular AI career assessment we're aware of. That said, it's a snapshot based on current research, not a guarantee about the future.

We pull the real tasks associated with your role from labor data covering 900+ occupations. You select which tasks make up your work, and we measure how capable current AI systems are at performing each one. Tasks you spend more time on carry more weight. We also factor in your industry and experience level, because the same role plays out differently depending on context.

Risk measures how exposed your work is to AI automation right now. Adoption measures how actively you're using AI in your role compared to others. You can have high risk but high adoption, which means you're in a dangerous zone but already adapting. Or low risk with low adoption, meaning you're safe today but not building skills for tomorrow. The combination of both is what determines your career profile.

Your two scores place you on a grid with risk on one axis and adoption on the other. That gives four main profiles: Transformer (high risk, high adoption), Sleepwalker (high risk, low adoption), Innovator (low risk, high adoption), and Complacent (low risk, low adoption). We also identify four extreme profiles for people at the edges: Unicorn, Survivor, Immune, and Asleep. Each one represents a distinct career situation with different priorities.

Probably not your whole job. AI replaces tasks, not titles. A financial analyst who spends most of their day aggregating data faces a very different reality than one who spends most of their day advising clients. The question isn't whether AI takes your job, it's which parts of your job get absorbed and whether the parts that remain are enough to justify the role. That's exactly what this assessment measures.

Start with your highest-risk tasks. Those are the parts of your work most likely to change in the next year or two. If you're not already using AI tools for those tasks, that's the gap to close first. Your profile page has specific guidance based on your archetype. The 90-day program goes deeper with a personalised playbook, AI career advisor, and task-by-task tool recommendations.

Most tools ask for your job title and return a single number. We go to the task level. You tell us which tasks actually fill your day, and we score each one individually based on current AI capability data. We also measure your personal adoption and resilience, not just your exposure. The result is two scores and a career profile, not just a fear-or-comfort number.

Four published sources: O*NET (U.S. Department of Labor) for occupational task data, the Anthropic Economic Index for measured AI capability, Pew Research Center for workforce exposure frameworks, and peer-reviewed research on task-level automation estimates. Nothing proprietary. We combine these sources at the individual level using your quiz inputs.

We collect your first name and quiz answers to generate your report. Your individual results are never shared with employers, recruiters, or anyone who could identify you. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to publish workforce trends and improve the assessment. You can request full deletion of your data anytime at contact@losingmyjobto.ai.
